About — Day Trade Money
About this site

Most trading education is a sales funnel. This is the opposite.

Day Trade Money exists because the honest version of day-trading education — the mechanics, the math, and the uncomfortable statistics — is almost impossible to find between the courses, the signal rooms, and the rented Lamborghinis.

The story

Why this exists

Search “learn day trading” and you’ll find two things: platforms that profit when you trade more, and gurus who profit when you believe more. Both have the same incentive — your activity, not your outcome. The result is an education landscape where the single most important fact about day trading is the one nobody leads with:

Roughly 70–90% of active day traders lose money over time. That number comes from regulator and broker studies, not from pessimists. Any teaching that skips it isn’t teaching — it’s marketing.

This site starts from that number instead of hiding it. The premise is simple: if you are going to try this anyway — and plenty of people will — you deserve to learn the mechanics correctly, size your risk like a professional, and test yourself against historical data and paper trades before the market charges you tuition. Screen time is cheap. Lessons paid for with real losses are not.

Everything here is built around one question: can you prove, with your own logged trades, that you have an edge? Until the answer is yes, the only responsible position size is zero — or one share. The tutorial teaches you how to run that proof.

How we operate

Four principles, none negotiable

01

Testable claims only

Every rule on this site is written so it can fail. If a claim can’t be falsified with a trade log, it doesn’t belong here.

02

Risk before entries

Entries are the easy part. Position sizing, stops, and daily loss limits are the job. We teach survival first, signals second.

03

Proof before size

100 replay trades, 50 paper trades, 30 one-share real trades — each stage gated by positive expectancy. Forward is earned, never assumed.

04

No conflicts of interest

We don’t sell a course, signals, or a broker referral that pays us when you overtrade. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed in plain sight.

  • A method for testing whether you have an edge, cheaply
  • Honest about the odds, the costs, and the failure modes
  • Interactive — built to be poked at, not just read

  • Financial, investment, or trading advice
  • A signal service, alert room, or stock-picking list
  • A promise — or even a suggestion — that you will profit
  • Run by licensed financial advisors or brokers

Behind the site

James Perez

Founder · Texas

James spent more than twenty years in sales before building Day Trade Money — two decades of watching exactly how persuasion works, and exactly when it’s being used on you. That’s the lens this site is built through: strip the pitch, keep the mechanics. He built the interactive tutorial he wished existed when he started studying the markets — one where every claim comes with a way to test it, and nobody asks for your credit card at the end.
