Disclaimer & terms of use
Most sites bury this page. We’d rather you actually read it — it says the same things the rest of the site says, in more formal clothes.
Last updated: July 30, 2026The short version: everything on Day Trade Money is education, not advice. We are not licensed financial advisors or brokers. We make no promise — and no suggestion — that you will make money. Day trading carries substantial risk of loss, and most active day traders lose money. If you trade, you do so entirely at your own risk and on your own judgment.
Educational purpose only
All content on daytrademoney.com — including the tutorial, glossary, tools, calculators, examples, and any page added later — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It explains mechanics, terminology, and methods of self-evaluation. It is not, and must not be taken as, financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or a recommendation of any security, strategy, broker, or platform.
No advisory relationship
Day Trade Money and its operator are not registered investment advisers, broker-dealers, or financial planners, and are not licensed to give individualized financial advice. Nothing on this site, and no correspondence with us, creates an advisory, fiduciary, or client relationship. For advice about your personal situation, consult a licensed financial professional.
Risk disclosure
Day trading is a high-risk activity. You can lose some or all of the money you trade with, and with margin (borrowed money) you can lose more than your initial deposit. Published studies by regulators and brokers consistently find that a large majority — commonly cited as 70–90% — of active day traders lose money over time. You should never trade with money you cannot afford to lose, and you should assume you have no edge until your own logged results demonstrate otherwise.
No performance claims
We make no claims about returns — ours or yours. Any figures on this site (position sizes, R-multiples, win rates, equity curves, trade logs) are hypothetical illustrations used for teaching. Hypothetical and simulated results have inherent limitations: they are constructed with hindsight, do not reflect real spreads, slippage, fees, or the psychological pressure of risking actual money, and no representation is made that any account will achieve results similar to those shown. Past performance — real or simulated — does not indicate future results.
Practice methods are not guarantees
This site teaches a staged practice method (bar replay, paper trading, minimal-size real trading). That method is a way to measure yourself cheaply — it is not a system for profits and does not guarantee improvement, a positive expectancy, or any trading outcome. Many people who follow a rigorous testing process will correctly conclude that they should not day trade. That is a successful outcome of the method, not a failure.
Accuracy and completeness
We work to keep the content accurate, but markets, regulations (including the pattern day trader rule), broker policies, and platform features change. Content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Verify anything that matters with primary sources before acting on it.
Third-party links and tools
The site may reference or link to third-party platforms, charting tools, brokers, studies, or other resources. These references are for convenience and education only. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or your dealings with them. As of the date above, we receive no compensation from any platform or broker mentioned; if that ever changes, the relationship will be disclosed plainly on the relevant page.
Your responsibility
Any decision to trade — what, when, how much, and with which broker — is yours alone. You are responsible for:
- evaluating the suitability of any idea for your finances and circumstances;
- understanding the rules that apply to you (account type, PDT rule, taxes);
- the outcome, positive or negative, of every trade you place.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Day Trade Money and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including trading losses — arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything on this site.
Intellectual property
The content, design, and interactive tools on this site belong to Day Trade Money. You’re welcome to link to any page and to use the material for personal study. Republishing or redistributing substantial portions of the site — commercially or otherwise — requires written permission.
